The Professional Development Certificate Program will be led by our expert faculty from
diverse backgrounds.

Rotary Foundation and Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda
Our program takes an experiential and learner-centered approach that integrates theory, research
and practice to provide learners with practical skills.
Curriculum
The Makerere Rotary Peace Center offers an Advanced Certificate in Peace building, Conflict Transformation and Development.
How to apply
The online application will be available in February 2020 on The Rotary Foundation website. Candidates will have until 31 May to submit completed applications.
Makerere University Rotary Peace center
One of the seven Rotary Peace Centers worldwide. Up to 40 fellowships are awarded annually for the professional development certificate program at the Makerere Rotary Peace Center, Kampala, Uganda.
The Makerere Rotary Peace Center is hosted by Makerere University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Africa. Makerere University is composed of nine colleges offering programs for about 35,000 undergraduates and 3,000 postgraduates. The Makerere University Rotary Peace Center offers an Advanced Certificate in Peace-building, Conflict Transformation and Development hosted by the Makerere University Peace and Conflict Studies Program (PCS).
