Anne Nkutu is a multidisciplinary social scientist and an alumnus of Makerere University, Uganda, and the University of Manchester, UK. As a Gender and M & E Consultant, she has for the last 21 years provided advisory services on gender mainstreaming, inclusion, and programme management to development agencies and civil society organisations across Africa.
Anne is an ardent advocate for women’s rights and the women, peace, and security agenda. She serves on several boards, including Mentoring & Empowerment of Young Women (MEMPROW), the International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW), and Global Grassroots. She is one of the Eminent Women of the Women Situation Room, Uganda – a mechanism that seeks to prevent and mitigate violence before, during and after elections.
In addition, Anne is an active Rotarian and is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Kampala-Naalya. She has held several positions and was the District Governor for D9213. Anne is also the pioneer Rotary Host Area Coordinator of the Makerere University Rotary Peace Centre and a member of the Advisory Committee.
