PDG. Emmanuel Katongole

Emmanuel Katongole joined the Rotary Club of Muyenga, Kampala-Uganda, in the year 1995/96. In the last 28 years, he has steadily and diligently served his club, country, and district, rising to the position of the first district governor for Rotary District 9211, which was comprised of Tanzania and Uganda in 2013/14. He thereafter served as Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator Africa Zone 20A in 2016/17, Endowment and Major Gifts, Advisor 2018-2021 for Region 28 Africa English-speaking Countries, Member of the Rotary International Peace Major Gifts Initiative Committee for 2020–23, and Chaired the same Committee from June 2022 to June 2023. He is passionate about supporting the Rotary Foundation, and in this regard, he is a member of the Arch Klumph and Bequest societies. He is also a benefactor to the Rotary Foundation. He is the founder and patron of the Rotary Blood Bank at Mengo Hospital. He is a member of the Rotary Foundation Peace Major Gifts Initiative Committee for 2020–23 and is the team leader of the same committee for Rotary years 2021/22 and 2022/23. He is Chairman of the of the Board of Trustees of the Uganda Rotary Blood Bank and a Member of the Board of Makerere University Rotary Peace Center.
