Sharmarke Farah Yusuf is a development practioner with 15 years of experience supporting Somalia’s peace-building and development efforts for a stable and democratic country. He works a lot with adolescents, youths, and community sectors to spread the culture of Peace. Sharmarke has also worked and led a UN joint Program titled ‘Youth at Risk’, a project that aimed at  engaging youth in containing and preventing violent conflict through social rehabilitation, training, creation of employment and livelihood opportunities.

Focus of Social Change Initiative

Sharmarkes’ Social Change Initiative focused on empowering and engaging Youth as a Positive Force for Transformational Change in Somalia. The initiative aimed at engaging youth involved in conflicts, school drop outs and unemployed young people aged 18 to 32 to become Positive Force for Transformational Change in Somalia.
