Sara Formisano is a seasoned expert in Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Human Rights, Peace Operations, Mediation, and Conflict Management. With extensive experience as an International Observer for the Ceasefire Transitional Security Arrangement Monitoring and Verification Mechanism in South Sudan, Sara has a strong background in political science and gender rights. She holds a post-graduate degree in Gender Rights from the Latin America Social Science Institute, studied Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and completed training as an International Investigator on Gender-Based Violence at The Hague. Currently, she consults on conflict resolution and peace building, with a focus on enhancing women’s participation in peace processes through collaborations with international organizations including the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and the European Commission.
